Census of the Milky Way Obscured Cluster Population (Valentin Ivanov, ESO-Chile)

The Galaxy harbors a significant number of clusters hidden by the dust extinction. Recent infrared sky surveys allow to overcome the dust obscuration. They paved the way towards more complete census and characterization of this unknown population. We have conducted automated cluster searched among the 2MASS point source catalog and followed up selected candidates. I will review the results from the search, and I will describe the more interesting objects identified and characterized so far.
