The POLARBEAR experiment has two main science goals: (1) to search
for evidence of a signal from the Inflationary era of the universe encoded in
the polarization of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) and (2) to characterize
gravitational lensing of the CMB.  We are currently installing the 3.5 meter diameter Huan Tran
Telescope (HTT) at 5000 meter altitude on the Atacama Plateau, and in a few months
we will be installing a bolometer array receiver with 1284 Transition-edge sensor
bolometers operated at 250 mK.  I will discuss our science goals, the design of the current instrument, and
concepts for more powerful future versions of the experiment.
