Globular clusters continue to play a central role in modern astronomy as ideal stellar evolution laboratories and as the oldest Galactic objects with reliable ages. However, we do not understand the formation and early evolution of even the nearest Galactic globular clusters. In this talk I will present, Nitrogen abundances in NGC 6752 and Carbon+Nitrogen+Oxygen abundances in NGC 1851. These chemical abundance analyses offer novel observational insights into the formation and early evolution of globular clusters.
