The ESO-Sculptor Survey
Summary
The ESO-Sculptor Survey (ESS) is now complete. The analysis of the
spectroscopic catalogue (700 galaxies) is finished. The
computation of the luminosity function (LF) and the spectral
type dependence was my principal task in the team, which was
lead by Valérie de Lapparent,
from the Institut d'Astrophysique de Paris
( IAP). The work on this
project was the basis for my PhD thesis, in which I worked with
part of the data on the spectral classification of the galaxies in
the spectroscopic catalogue and on the LF.
