Scientific Interests

My research is focused in the study of the evolution of galaxies and clusters of galaxies. These studies are being carried out in collaboration with astronomers from Canada, USA, South Africa, China and Europe.

Currently I am working on several complementary programs such as:

- Find and study clusters of galaxies and QSOs in an area of 5000 sq deg. of the UVAS/ATLAS survey

- Study the galaxies in rich clusters at nearly half of the present age of the universe

- Use the gravitational potential of the clusters to study distant galaxies using ALMA

- Use the bright gravitational arcs as backlight to study the gaseous halos of galaxies
